Frequently Asked Questions
We have considered energy consumption when designing our machines and have included features to keep this low. For example, we use servo motors and energy efficient three phase motors. Furthermore, our machines are designed to only use power when they are moving.
The RowPAKer is designed specifically to pick and place rows of product. These products need to be packaged in a firm material in order to be picked, for example punnets or boxes. The UniPAKer is our most versatile machine and can pick any product, in any packaging, in any pattern, into any container.
Reasons that the PAKstation may be the most appropriate machine for your needs include: not wanting to commit to full automation yet, cost, a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) list with too many variations to accommodate with automatic machines, wanting to manually check products as they are packed (quality control), and other operations taking place at the same time.
We create recipes for each product based on product sizes, weights, and types which also accounts for different packaging and patterns. The recipe changes the parameters of the machine to suit that product. By having a recipe for each product, rather than for every SKU, this reduces the number of recipes and makes the packing process more efficient.
We believe that the element of project risk should be eliminated before you buy a machine. By trialling your products on our demo machine, we can show that we can pick and place your products in patterns as per your SKU lists and speed requirements as well as develop an understanding of the nature of your products and anticipate any risks. All you need to do is complete the ‘book a trial’ form and we’ll be in touch!
Bale Arm Closer
A standard Brillopak machine, built in stainless steel, which closes crate bale arms prior to palletising, increasing efficiency of the line and freeing up an operator. Suitable for 600x400mm and 300x400mm crates. This machine can also include a check device, to ensure the bale arms are not broken, and a reject system to divert any broken crates down a chute rather than progress on to be palletised.
Crate Weight Validator
Brillopak’s quality control solution. The Crate Weight Validator accurately weighs each crate after packing to ensure it is the expected weight. What enters the packing machine may not exit the packing machine due to packing errors. Damaged or unsealed packaging can result in empty or missing bags in crates. The Crate Weight Validator detects these issues automatically.
It accurately weighs each crate post-packing to verify the correct number of filled bags before palletising. This critical check prevents underfilled crates, reducing the risk of costly fines and ensuring product integrity.
How this differs from a checkweigher - while a checkweigher ensures each bag is the correct weight, it doesn’t guarantee that all filled bags make it into the final crate. Our Crate Weight Validator weighs each crate as it exits the line, catching missing or damaged product before palletising - helping you avoid supermarket fines and costly rework.
